Diadema (Pictichromis diadema)

The Diadema Dottyback is a beautiful yellow Pseudochromid with a bright purple dorsal stripe that goes from the mouth all the way to the back of the fish. It is a highly aggressive dottyback that should be housed with equally aggressive tankmates.

It should be provided with numerous hiding spots. In the wild they can be found in small groups, but due to their semi-aggressive nature, we suggest keeping them singly or in mated pairs if the size of the aquarium is large enough.

They originate from the Western Central Pacific and will reach a maximum of 2.5” in the wild, although 2” is usually the norm in reef tanks.
