Monaco Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata seticaudata)

Aiptasia anemone control is a critical part of regular reef aquarium maintenance. This species of aquacultured Peppermint Shrimp originated from the waters of the Mediterranean and is particularly effective at consuming this pest anemone. In addition to the diet of Aiptasia, they are also beneficial scavengers that will clean up any uneaten food or waste in the home aquarium.

While they are similar in appearance to our other captive bred Caribbean Peppermint Shrimp species, these shrimp exhibit distinct blue streaks along their sides and tend to grow faster.
