Hybrid Cleaner (E. oceanops x figaro)

ORA’s Hybrid Cleaner Gobies are the product of a female Neon goby (E. oceanops) and a male Yellow Line Goby (E. figaro).  Their stripe starts off yellow near the head and transitions to a bright turquoise color after the gills.  This coloration is somewhat variable though and is strongly influenced by their environment.  This fish is similar in appearance to the Sharknose Goby (E. evelynae) but they can be distinguished by the shape of their head and turquoise rather than blue coloration.  Hybrid Cleaner Gobies are very robust and grow faster than any other cleaner goby we offer.  Additionally they grow larger than either of their parent species leading us to believe that hybrid vigor plays a role.
